I hope this finds everyone doing well and enjoying the spring season. It has been extremely pleasant here and we have had a good amount of rain with it. We haven't had any floods yet, so that certainly a true blessing. That is something that I didn't even think about before, but now I have to look at it being a reasonable possibility.
Anyway, I just wanted to give everyone a quick hi and let you know that I am going to try my best to have an update letter out by the end of this week. Thank you for your unconditional support as always, I know that we all are going to see a lot of good fruit during the trips here coming up next month already!
Sorry it's been so long since I last wrote, it seems like I have been all over this country the past couple of months. I was able to travel to WV, New Orleans, CT, and IL and it all went well. I will be flying back to Kentucky tomorrow after a great 2 weeks with family and conducting some business.
As the summer months are rapidly approaching, please be praying that God would be growing the hearts of both our participants and leaders for the summer trips in June and July. We are going to have 7 weeks of trips to Kentucky and 4 weeks of trips to West Virginia. I know that God has some big plans for this summer at both locations. If you could also be praying for our local church body in Kentucky as well. I know that God will be using them in mighty ways this summer as well.
I hope that is finds you all doing well and I will be trying to send out another update letter by the end of the month with more information about what is going on in the ministry. Thank you so much again for your unconditional support, I know I couldn't be doing this without you!
Well, after about the longest day I will ever spend in an airport, I finally made it to New Orleans last night at 11 pm. I will be starting to meet the local people today that we will be partnering with here and our groups should arrive tomorrow evening sometime from Michigan.
As far as West Virginia goes, my week there was great. The group had a great time of service and I was blessed to be a part of that. The kids served in the local food bank organizing food, folding and organizing clothes for a clothing ministry, and got a local shop ready to host weekly pray meetings. These were just some of the ways they served during their week of service.
I hope that this finds you doing well and I wanted to pass on a prayer request to you if I could. We are still in need of group housing for three weeks this summer. I have had a very hard time trying to find a place that has showers and a kitchen to go with a sleeping area. Please pray for this so that all of our groups will be able to serve the Lord in Kentucky this summer. Thank you so much for all your prayers, I have certainly felt them!
I am going to be doing a lot of traveling here in the next couple of months. I will be leaving tomorrow to go to West Virginia to do some work out there for a week. I will then be back here in Kentucky for the last week of February and then travel to New Orleans to lead a trip there during the first week of March. I will make sure to keep you updated as I travel around the country and let you know how things are going. I hope that this finds you all doing well and I'll talk with you soon!
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness That most frightens us.
We ask ourselves Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you
not to be? You are a child of God.
Your playing small Does not serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking So that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, As children do. We were born to make manifest The glory of God that is within us.
It's not just in some of us; It's in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, We unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we're liberated from our own fear, Our presence automatically liberates others.
