Hey Everyone,
For those of you that don't me, my name is Christian and I just came on staff here at AIM in November 2006. I am the Appalachia Director and I now live in the mountains of Kentucky. I didn't always live here though. I grew up in the northern suburbs of Chicago, where I had been a special education teacher for the past 3 years after I graduated from Illinois State University. I am not new to the mission field either. I have been going on mission trips for the past 5 summers and I truly felt the call of God to move here to Kentucky after my summer of serving Him here this past summer. A lot of people thought I was crazy to leave a solid teaching job and salary to live in the mountains of Kentucky and depend on the unconditional giving of individuals. Despite that, God moved in big ways and made it possible to move here through those unconditional givers. I know that I would not be here without them and I thank God for them always! I also thank God for my great family, for without their unconditional support of me, it would be a lot harder to follow this calling. God has blessed me richly throughout my years! As I start this new path with him, he has already shaped, broken, and focused me in both small and big ways. I hope that this finds you doing well and if you would ever like to talk more about my ministry, please feel free to let me know!
Grace and Peace Always,
Christian
